Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Wigan
Salary: 31,000 – 40,000 per annum + benefits

About the Role

A well–established Building Services consultancy based in Wigan is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 3 years' experience in mechanical building services who's looking to take their career to the next level.

Working on a broad range of commercial, residential, education, and industrial projects, you'll be supported by senior engineers and given real responsibility across the full project lifecycle–from concept through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and coordination of mechanical building services

• Produce drawings, specifications, and schedules for HVAC and mechanical systems

• Attend client meetings, carry out site surveys, and monitor project progress

• Support the delivery of multiple projects while learning from senior staff

• Collaborate with internal MEP engineers and external stakeholders

• Work on project from Feasibility and Surveys through to Detailed Design phases

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical building services design

• HNC/HND qualified or working towards a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

• Experience with AutoCAD, Hevacomp, and knowledge of Revit/BIM processes

• Familiar with design across all RIBA stages

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car

• Must be able to work from the Wigan office, Monday to Friday
