Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing M&E team in Essex. The role focuses on developing mechanical building services designs across Healthcare and Education projects, from concept through to completion.

You will attend client meetings, work with multidisciplinaries, carry out site visits and prepare technical reports and specifications, ensuring compliance with QA standards and regulations. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical building services design.
• Proficiency with IES, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and industry standards.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical building services designs.
• Attend client and project meetings.

Day-to-Day

As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Develop mechanical building services designs.
