Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a leading, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Colchester. Our client works across commercial, health, education, defence, and residential sectors. Due to continued success, they are looking to bring on board an Intermediate Electrical Engineer.

Position Remuneration:

• Salary: £30,000 to £55,000

Position Overview:

• Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time and on budget.
• Carry out fee earning work, including design of schemes where appropriate and high-level technical expertise.
• Assist in the formation of sound engineering solutions, providing cost-effective options.
• Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs.
• Draw up detailed specifications and drawings based on client briefs.
• Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
• Manage site works from commencement to completion.
• Monitor site works against specifications and report to clients and design teams.
• Inspect existing installations and submit condition reports.
• Report on project status for invoicing each month.
• Work with the team to meet fee targets as directed.

Position Requirements:

• Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in Building Services Design Consultancy is preferred
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines
• Experience with Amtech (Electrical) design software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle
