Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer – London

An established and highly regarded multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing MEP and Sustainability team in London. With a strong industry presence across the UK and Europe, this company delivers a wide range of services to corporate clients and public sector bodies, working on projects of all scales, from minor works to contracts exceeding £200 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious electrical design engineer looking to further develop their career within a company that prioritises career progression and internal development. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the management and growth of the electrical engineering design team.

Salary

  • £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing designs for a full range of building services.
  • Contributing to the development of health and safety plans and files.
  • Conducting troubleshooting exercises related to energy consumption and internal conditions, including surveys, reports, schedules and feasibility studies.
  • Developing planned maintenance specifications and overseeing contract management and reporting.
  • Managing energy strategies and ensuring Part L compliance in projects.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and securing repeat business.
  • Assisting with fee proposals and contract negotiations, subject to director approval.
  • Supporting the development and succession planning of team members.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to ensuring client satisfaction and meeting project goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to contribute to business development and the overall promotion of the company.
