Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/building services engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of electrical design experience in a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Working knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.

• Support senior engineers in producing calculations, drawings and specifications.

About the job Intermediate Electrical Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary engineering team working on a wide range of innovative and sustainable building projects. You'll gain hands-on experience delivering designs across various sectors and be supported in developing toward Chartership.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and coordination of electrical building services on a variety of projects.
• Support senior engineers in producing calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Attend design meetings and contribute to technical discussions.

Maintain awareness of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

• Engage with digital tools and modelling software to support efficient project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or similar).
• Between 2-5 years experience in electrical design within a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Working knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Amtech, Revit, Dialux, or similar.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Keen interest in progressing toward Chartership (e.g., with CIBSE or IET).
