Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer - (Building Services / MEP)

£40k - £50k Dependent on Experience + Benefits

This Electrical Design Engineer role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close-knit team of engineers working on sectors including education, retail, healthcare, and commercial. The team is conscientious and supportive, providing a friendly working environment from day one.

You will work closely with directors and senior engineers to develop your career.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior design engineers with outline design schemes
• Visit sites during construction to monitor progress
• Deliver detailed designs as part of a project team
• Check documents and perform electrical calculations
• Learn and apply building regulations and standards
• Gain experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Participate in project and technical meetings
• Advise clients and architects on energy use, aiming to reduce environmental impact and carbon footprint

Qualifications

• MEng / BEng in Electrical Engineering or accredited building services degree
• At least 2 years of experience in building services electrical design
• Experience with Dialux or Relux
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
• Must hold a British passport due to project requirements
