Job summary

GRAHAM Academy is seeking a Design Coordinator Placement Student for interior fit-out projects in Northern Ireland. Based in Hillsborough, you will support the design team in coordinating drawings, specs, and RFIs, and help ensure designs are buildable and compliant with client requirements.

You will gain hands-on experience across project documentation, site visits, and BIM processes, contributing to design reviews and day-to-day project delivery within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a higher or degree‑level qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in interior fit‑out, design, and construction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to BIM processes and design coordination platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and coordination of interior fit‑out design proposals.
• Support the design team in preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications, finishes schedules, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate design information between architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Help ensure design solutions are practical, buildable, compliant, and aligned with client requirements.
