The Job

This is a unique opportunity for a midweight interior designer to work client side in our growing
team and business. You will be involved in developing interior designs for our new venues in
both the UK and overseas for both of our hospitality brands - Flight Club and Electric Shuffle.

Our offices are based in Islington which is where is where you will be based with attendance
on various site visits around London and UK as and when required. Candidates will need to
have strong technical drawing ability, proven background in F&B projects, joinery packages
and FF&E experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Colloborating with our senior designers to develop and deliver design packs for both UK
    and overseas venues
  • Interpreting the project brief and developing concept stages of a project through to
    construction
  • Experience at presenting your work and ideas to other members of the internal
    design team
  • Working on full technical drawing packages and associated documents under the
    guidance of senior designers
  • Assisting the senior designers and design managers in reviews and approvals of
    design drawings and documents for construction and fabrication
  • Attending design team meetings and reviews, on and off site, as required
  • Developing proposals and working with the in-house creative team on the
    development of signage and dressing for new venues

To be successful in the role, you'll:
  • Have an Interior design degree or architectural qualifications with solid experience in hospitality
    sector
  • Strong technical drawing and design skills with knowledge of joinery, furniture and
    construction detailing is essential
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and deliver in a fast-paced environment across various projects
    Ability to interpret and implement a creative vision and deliver original design concepts/ideas
  • Be able to maintain document control and undertake completion of all documentation
    associated with construction projects.
  • Be able to integrate with the property team and work closely with the creative team
  • Have a solid understanding of UK building regulations. Additional knowledge of European
    regulations would also be advantageous
  • Be highly proficient in Vectorworks plus proficiency in other software (CAD, Adobe Creative
    Suite, InDesign and MS Office)
  • Have the ability to sketch freehand is an advantage
  • Strong 3D Sketchup skills and ability to develop conceptual models of venues to assist key
    design decisions around layout, bar design, lighting and finishes
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, have the ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Good communicator with a creative flair and brand/commercial awareness
