Qualifications

The Red Carnation Hotels is seeking a strong mid- to senior-weightInterior Designerto join its London team.

Salary:£55k–£70k depending on experience

Location: Head Office (14-15 Grosvenor Place SW1X7HH)

The Red Carnation Hotel Group is expanding its in-house design team and offering an exciting opportunity for atalented mid-weight or senior interior designer (minimum five years’ experience) to join on a full-time,permanent basis.

With a portfolio of 17 luxury hotels around the world, the group is investing significantly in renovation projectsover the coming years. This role offers the chance to help shape the company’s design identity in this nextchapter.

The position is based in our beautiful office next to Buckingham Palace, with the requirement to work from thestudio five days a week.You’ll report directly to the Design Directorand will be part of a close-knit team working on diverse, design-led hospitality projects.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in interior design (preferably hospitality focused)
  • Strong design sensibility with ability to respond to context, history, and vision
  • Client-facing experience and confidence liaising with contractors and consultants
  • Collaborative, proactive, and positive attitude
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong documentation and technical detailing skills
  • Solid supplier knowledge and procurement understanding
  • Self-motivated and independent, while also a strong team player

Software and Other Design Skills:

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Bonus: Rendering skills (SketchUp, Enscape or similar), photoshoot/styling experience, OS&Esourcing

Responsibilities

You’ll lead 3–4 small to mid-scale projects from concept through to completion, alongside a number of smallercreative tasks. Responsibilities range from concept development to producing detailed specification documentsand drawing packs.As an in-house role within a hospitality group, the position also includes wider design involvement — fromphotoshoots and styling to brand and visual storytelling. You’ll work closely with our operations team and havea voice in shaping truly world-class 5* spaces.

We’re looking for someone with a strong design foundation who’s ready to take ownership of meaningfulprojects and contribute to a broader creative vision.
