Overview:

An established in-house design team is seeking a talented Interior Design Technician to join their team. This role combines creativity with technical skills, supporting the rollout of interior and exterior layouts for a network of branded sites across the UK. You will work from established design blueprints, focusing on space planning, detailing, and ensuring designs meet brand standards and UK regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and develop interior and exterior layouts for multiple sites, based on existing concept blueprints
• Produce accurate space plans that optimise functionality and enhance customer and staff experience
• Maintain brand consistency across all locations, including signage and visual identity
• Specify furniture, fixtures, and finishes from an established catalogue, balancing cost, style, and durability
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, property, and senior stakeholders
• Support implementation, coordinating with contractors and suppliers to see designs through to completion
• Ensure all plans comply with UK building regulations and health & safety requirements
• Incorporate sustainability and energy-efficiency principles into designs where possible

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within retail, commercial, or multisite environments
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and planning permissions
• Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Experience working with property, estate, or finance-led environments is a plus
