Job description

Our client is a large, sociable, friendly, award-winning multi-disciplinary practice based in SW London, currently looking for an Interior Architect or a Technical Interior Designer to join their Interiors team. Their Interiors division offers design services from concept through to technical design and works on site, with a focus on residentially-led projects. Working closely with Architects and wider design teams, they design interiors that complement the architectural design and exceed client expectations.

The successful candidate must have an interest in residential interiors and already have a working knowledge of the different design stages.

Summary of main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day to day running of projects/elements of projects within the parameters agreed by the Director/ Associate Director

• Uses imagery, sketches and models to communicate and present ideas

• Assists with creating and delivering project pitches

• Represents the practice at external meetings as requested by Directors/Associate Director

• Coordinates with suppliers as required

• Contributes to internal team meetings

• Demonstrates competent design and/or delivery skills

• Manages the day to day budget for aspects of the project for which they are responsible

• Represents the practice at industry events

Candidates must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Approx 2+ years’ experience in an interior design role in the UK

• Interior Design degree level qualification

• Part 1, Part 2 or fully qualified Architect

• Able to produce full suite of detailed drawings and specification packages

• Proficient user of Revit, Affinity, InDesign, Photoshop & Microsoft Office, and Vectorworks beneficial

• Proficient in Sketchup

• An eye for sketching would be advantageous

• Strong administrative skills

• Highly organised with a flair for design and creativity

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Works well in a small team
