Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading UK manufacturer to provide an interim Warehouse Manager in Chesterfield for approximately three months. The role oversees day-to-day warehouse operations to support a continuous production line, with a 24/7 shift pattern and a focus on safety, efficiency, and stock accuracy.

The successful candidate will lead a busy warehouse team, drive KPI improvements, and collaborate with production, planning and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a warehouse environment.

• Solid understanding of warehouse stock control and WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring safety, efficiency and accuracy across operations.
• Manage and motivate a warehouse team on a 24/7 shift pattern.
• Maintain stock accuracy and oversee stock control, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Ensure goods in/out, picking, packing and despatch support continuous production.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies.
• Coordinate with production, planning and logistics for smooth material flow.
• Manage relationships with third-party transport and logistics providers.

Our client operates a large-scale, 24/7 manufacturing site supplying products to a global customer base, and this role will play a key part in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly during a period of transition.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to step into a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment and make an immediate impact, overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse function supporting continuous production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring safety, efficiency and accuracy across all operations


• Manage and motivate a warehouse team across a 24/7 shift pattern


• Maintain stock accuracy and oversee stock control, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution


• Ensure goods in/out, picking, packing and despatch processes support a continuous production line without disruption


• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across warehouse operations


• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and internal policies


• Liaise closely with production, planning and logistics teams to ensure seamless material and finished goods flow


• Manage relationships with third-party transport and logistics providers

Previous Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a warehouse environment


• Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team quickly


• Solid understanding of WMS systems and stock control processes


• Available to start at short notice
