A leading FTSE 100 FMCG organisation is seeking a Technology Engagement Lead to provide critical IT support during fast-paced weekend periods across various retail locations in Scotland. The role involves resolving Point of Sale issues and engaging with staff and customers. This is an urgent interim position until the end of December 2025.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT experience, preferably with Point of Sale applications.
• Confident in liaising with staff and customers.
• Ability to manage IT supplier relationships.
• Driving license required for travel across Scotland.

Role: Technology Engagement Lead

Client: Major FMCG Organisation

Hours: 9am to 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday - Time + 1/3 uplift on weekends.

Location: Edinburgh

Duration: To end of December 2025

An exciting interim opportunity to support a leading, FTSE 100 FMCG organisation on their key, retail outlets, providing critical IT support over fast-paced weekend periods.

You will engage with staff and customers on the shop floor, focusing on Point of Sale, and resolving IT issues, e.g. issues with tills, printers, and installation of software on Point of Sale kits.

This role will involve travel to various retail locations across Scotland.

Requirements:

• 2+ years IT experience, with exposure to applications supporting a business (ideally Point of Sale).
• Ability to confidently liaise with staff and customers
• Ability to deal with IT suppliers.
• Driving licence is required to travel to the Scotland-wide locations.
