Found Recruitment Solutions Ltd in East Sussex is seeking an experienced Interim Technical & Compliance Manager to provide immediate hands-on support across regulatory compliance, quality systems, product claims, labelling and supplier standards.

You will own the existing Quality Management System, review SOPs, ensure UK food supplement and labeling compliance, manage CAPA and investigations, prepare for audits and support NPD and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Quality Management Systems in food, supplements or regulated FMCG sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK food supplement and labeling laws.
• Experience reviewing claims, labels and technical product information.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the existing Quality Management System.
• Review and strengthen SOPs, policies and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UK food supplement and labelling legislation.
• Review product labels, nutritional information and marketing claims.
• Support compliance activity across NPD and existing product ranges.
• Managing CAPA, complaints and technical investigations.
• Supporting supplier approval and ongoing supplier compliance; preparing for audits.
• Maintaining relevant certification requirements.
• Identifying immediate compliance risks and agreeing clear priorities.
• Providing practical advice across NPD, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Supporting the Compliance Assistant and wider team.
• Providing stability and structure while the permanent search continues.

Interim Technical & Compliance Manager

Location: East Sussex

Contract: Interim or fixed-term contract

Package: £50,000 to £60,000 pro rata or a competitive day rate

Working arrangement: Predominantly site-based

Start: As soon as possible

A growing health and wellness brand is looking for an experienced Technical & Compliance Manager who can provide immediate support to its technical function.

The business is open to either an interim appointment or a fixed-term contract. This would suit someone who can quickly understand the current systems, identify the immediate priorities and provide confident, hands‑on compliance support.

The assignment

You will support the business across regulatory compliance, quality systems, product claims, labelling, supplier standards and post‑launch product compliance.

Your responsibilities are likely to include:

• Taking ownership of the existing Quality Management System
• Reviewing and strengthening SOPs, policies and technical documentation
• Ensuring compliance with UK food supplement and labelling legislation
• Reviewing product labels, nutritional information and marketing claims
• Supporting compliance activity across NPD and existing product ranges
• Managing CAPA, complaints and technical investigations
• Supporting supplier approval and ongoing supplier compliancePreparing for and supporting internal or external audits

What we are looking for

You will need:

• Strong compliance experience within food supplements, nutraceuticals, food or regulated FMCG
• Good knowledge of UK food supplement and labelling laws
• An understanding of FSA and EFSA requirements
• Experience reviewing claims, labels and technical product information
• Hands‑on experience writing SOPs and managing a QMS
• Experience handling CAPA, complaints and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of standards such as BRCGS, FSSC 22000, SALSA or GMP
• The ability to enter a new business, assess priorities quickly and work with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, collaborative approach
• Previous people‑management experience is not essential. The priority is someone with the technical knowledge and confidence to make an immediate contribution.
