This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant programme of building condition surveys across a diverse estate of educational facilities.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering detailed stock condition surveys across a wide range of buildings, from small teaching blocks to large, complex academic and research facilities. Surveys will be conducted using a tablet-based system, and the role requires a high level of accuracy, independence, and professional judgement.

What you'll need to succeed
You should have a strong background in building surveying, with demonstrable experience in stock condition assessments, ideally within the public or education sectors. A sound understanding of building fabric, mechanical and electrical systems, and asset management principles is essential. The ability to work efficiently with digital tools and to manage your own schedule across multiple sites is also key.

What you'll get in return
This is a flexible, part-time interim position with a start in August. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work with a respected institution on a high-profile project that will directly inform future investment and maintenance strategies. If you are a detail-oriented surveyor looking for a rewarding interim opportunity within the education sector, I would love to hear from you.
