Statutory Accountant - INTERIM

About The Company:

This is a role within a luxury Hotel company. They are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of service. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented Interim Statutory Accountant to join our finance team and ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and review statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
  2. Coordinate and manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors.
  3. Ensure compliance with all statutory financial reporting deadlines and regulations.
  4. Analyze financial statements and provide detailed reports to senior management.
  5. Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
  6. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial processes.
  7. Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS.
  2. Proven experience in statutory accounting, preferably within the hospitality or related industry.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  5. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
