Overview

Interim Studio Financial Accountant needed for a hugely popular global media brand! In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for quarterly reporting of the merchandise P&L, AR, and financial schedules. You will also partner with various UK and international stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and US GAAP-compliant reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborated with the Studio Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant to prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports, including schedules, reconciliations, and reporting packages
  • Prepared and presented financial results at quarterly country close meetings for designated territories
  • Delivered key financial reports (e.g. merchandise income statement, deferred income, AR aging) to internal stakeholders and the U.S. parent company
  • Completed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis with timely, accurate commentary
  • Supported statutory audits (PwC) and ensured compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Identified and implemented process improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining high service standards
Candidate requirements
  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong relevant working experience
  • Strong financial reporting experience from a large multi-site, multi-currency business
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP
  • Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities must be continually re-evaluated and adapted as possible
