Job summary

Joshua Robert Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Property Management Surveyor to join a leading commercial property company on a client-side contract. The initial 3-month role pays £400-£500 per day and involves ownership of a varied portfolio across retail, industrial and mixed‑use assets.

You will drive income, manage leases and service charges, support onboarding of new assets and mentor junior surveyors, with MRICS preferred and strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in multi-let commercial property management.
• MRICS qualification preferred.

• Experience client-side or in consultancy managing landlords.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day property management of a varied commercial portfolio.
• Act as the landlord's senior contact for occupiers from national to local tenants.
• Drive income through renewals, rent reviews, lettings, arrears and service charge oversight.
• Collaborate with internal asset management, surveying and finance to maximise asset value and minimise voids.
• Identify and progress asset management initiatives and value-add opportunities.
• Oversee compliance, health & safety, and property maintenance across assets.
• Support onboarding of new assets into the managed portfolio.
• Provide guidance and support to junior surveyors and property managers.

Senior Property Management Surveyor - Client Side - Contract

Contract Opportunity with a Leading Commercial Property Company

An excellent contract opportunity has arisen for a Senior Property Management Surveyor to join a large commercial property company with a substantial portfolio under ownership and management. This is an initial 3-month contract paying £400 - £500 per day.

Our client holds a significant and growing portfolio of commercial property, spanning a range of retail, industrial and mixed-use assets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Taking ownership of the day-to-day property management of a varied commercial portfolio of retail, industrial and mixed-use assets.
• Acting as the landlord's senior point of contact for occupiers, from national businesses to local independents.
• Driving income through proactive management, including lease renewals, rent reviews, lettings, arrears and service charge oversight.
• Working closely with internal asset management, surveying and finance colleagues to maximise asset value and minimise void periods.
• Identifying and progressing asset management initiatives, refurbishments and value-add opportunities across the portfolio.
• Overseeing compliance, health and safety, and property maintenance across your assets.
• Supporting the onboarding of new assets into the managed portfolio.
• Providing guidance and support to junior surveyors and property managers.

About You

We're looking for an experienced commercial property management surveyor who can hit the ground running, combining strong technical knowledge with a commercial, landlord-focused mindset.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience managing multi-let commercial property, ideally across retail and industrial assets.
• MRICS qualification (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of landlord and tenant law, lease events and service charge management.
• Experience gained either client side or within a consultancy managing portfolios for institutional or private landlords.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.A proactive, commercial approach with the confidence to take immediate ownership of a portfolio and its performance.
• Previous contract or interim experience would be advantageous.
