As an Interim Senior Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing financial reporting and supporting decision‑making processes. Based in Bournemouth, you'll ensure the smooth operation of accounting activities and provide valuable insights to drive business performance.

Client Details

Our client is based in Bournemouth with excellent commuting links (near the M27 & train station). Due to a change in the team, this role will play a key part within the finance function and bridge the gap for a few months.

Description

As the Interim Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed financial insights.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand financial impacts and drive efficiencies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to support operational needs.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions where needed.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support decision‑making.

Profile

In order to be considered for the Interim Senior Management Accountant, you must have:

• A recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting tools.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with the life science industry would be an advantage.

Job Offer

Competitive daily rate of £275 to £325, dependent on the level of experience. Temporary position based in Bournemouth.
