Position: Interim Senior Finance Professional - Callington / Hybrid - Circa: £65,000 FTE Negotiable

Trial Balance Consulting has been contacted by a longstanding client, a large Cornish services provider, who urgently seeks to recruit a highly experienced Accountant (likely at Financial Controller/Director level) to assist during a busy period marked by positive change. The role is to commence ASAP, as a full-time contract for at least three months. The position offers hybrid working with up to two days remote per week, based at the company’s headquarters in Callington.

The successful candidate will support an experienced CFO, Financial Controller, and FP&A Manager with external stakeholder reporting, requiring high-quality cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and credit management skills. Key responsibilities include:

1. Producing detailed cash flow forecasts for internal and external presentations (including external investors)
2. Monitoring and reporting daily cash flow expenditures to ensure operational liquidity
3. Managing all aspects of the company’s aged debtor processes
4. Identifying trends and drivers affecting cash flow strategies
5. Ensuring statutory compliance and controls
6. Conducting complex variance analysis
7. Developing internal controls
