Job summary

A leading investment bank is seeking a Securitisation / LMA Counsel for a 13-month engagement. The role focuses on structuring and executing European warehouse lending transactions and private securitisations, requiring expertise in securitisation frameworks and documentation. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years PQE and strong interaction with core teams and legal functions.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in securitisation from lenders/asset-backed lending perspective.
  • Expertise in LMA documentation.
  • Experience with transaction execution would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on transaction structure, considering legal and regulatory constraints.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders including Legal, Tax, Operations.
  • Preparing and reviewing term sheets and commitment documents.
  • Assisting with syndication and transfer documentation.

A leading investment bank is looking to hire a Securitisation / LMA Counsel for a 13-month period.

Ideal candidates should possess a strong background in securitisation, particularly from a lenders / asset backed lending standpoint, and demonstrate expertise in navigating LMA documentation.

The role will involve working on the structuring and execution of European warehouse lending transactions / private securitisations across the ABS (consumer; auto receivables) and residential (portfolio acquisitions; bridging loans; single family rental assets) business lines.

Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities centre on working with the core underwriting teams on transactions, including:

  • Advising on the structure of transactions, considering legal, regulatory, tax and other constraints
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Tax, Operations, and Credit functions
  • Preparing and reviewing term sheets and commitment documents
  • Liaising with external legal counsel to prepare and negotiate transaction documentation
  • Assisting in the execution and utilisation of transactions
  • Assisting with syndication and preparation of transfer documentation

Skills Required:

  • 8+ PQE City or equivalent banking law experience with a major law firm or investment bank (experience with transaction execution on the desk would be advantageous)
  • Familiarity with LMA documentation, warehouse lending documentation and securitisation transactions
