Job summary

A Local Authority in Ealing is recruiting an Interim School Organisation Officer to support school place sufficiency and SEND provision. You will analyse data, manage projects and engage stakeholders to deliver education planning outcomes.

The role reports to the Head of Education Planning and Sustainability and requires strong Excel and data-management skills, with experience in local authority or public sector settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in school place planning or education planning.
• Experience supporting SEND sufficiency planning or SEND-related projects.
• Strong analytical skills with complex datasets, forecasts and demographics.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of school place planning strategies and initiatives.
• Analyse pupil forecasts, admissions, demographic and capacity data.
• Assist with planning for mainstream, SEND provision and special programs.
• Develop options appraisals and business cases for expansions, reductions or closures.
• Coordinate statutory school organisation processes and consultations.
• Prepare reports, consultation documents and briefing papers.
• Engage with schools, trusts, governors and parents to gather input.
• Monitor milestones, risks and dependencies to ensure governance.
• Collaborate with admissions, SEND, finance and legal teams.
