Job summary

Tile Hill is recruiting an Interim Corporate Director – Finance & Resources (S151) for a local authority. This demanding post requires CCAB-qualified expertise and substantial local government finance experience, plus senior leadership capability to steer financial strategy and governance.

You will build strong relationships with Members, lead through uncertainty and influence strategic direction during a period of transition and ambiguity.

Interim Corporate Director – Finance & Resources (S151)

We’re looking for an experienced local government InterimSection 151 Officer to join a local authority at an important point of transition.

Alongside providing strong financial leadership and delivering the budget, this role needs someone who can bring grip, governance and corporate leadership. Political astuteness will be key, with the ability to build strong relationships with Members and operate confidently through ambiguity and change.

You’ll need:

• CCAB qualification and significant local government finance experience
• Previous senior/corporate leadership experience
• Strong political awareness and Member engagement skills
• The confidence to lead through uncertainty and provide clear strategic advice

The role will be four days per week, with three days in the office, for an initial 6 months. There’s no requirement for an immediate start, with the client anticipating a New Year start date.
