Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Interim S&OP Consultant to design, implement and embed a robust planning process in a growing business based in South London. This hands-on transformation role partners closely with Sales and Operations to improve forecasting, visibility and decision-making.

Responsibilities include assessing current planning environments, designing a structured S&OP framework, owning demand planning, and developing dashboards and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within Demand Planning and S&OP.
• Track record of building or transforming S&OP processes, not just operating within established frameworks.
• Experience across Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain and Operations.
• Experience in branded sportswear, apparel, consumer products or similar environment is highly relevant.
• Pragmatic, hands-on approach and ability to work in a growing business.

• Partner with Sales to develop robust customer and demand forecasts.
• Act as the link between Sales and Operations, translating demand into operational plans.
• Develop S&OP reporting, dashboards and KPIs.
• Review how seasonality and capacity affect planning.
• Improve visibility of long-term demand and potential supply constraints.
• Review current systems and recommend planning tools where appropriate.
• Establish clear processes and governance to be handed over to the internal team.

Description

The Interim S&OP Consultant will take ownership of reviewing the current planning environment before designing and implementing a fit‑for‑purpose Demand Planning and S&OP process.

Responsibilities

• Assessing the existing Demand Planning, forecasting and S&OP processes.
• Designing and implementing a structured S&OP framework from the ground up.
• Taking ownership of the demand planning process and improving forecast accuracy and visibility.
• Partnering closely with Sales to develop more robust customer and demand forecasts.
• Acting as the key link between Sales and Operations, ensuring demand information is effectively communicated and translated into operational plans.
• Developing effective S&OP reporting, dashboards and KPIs.
• Reviewing how customer demand, product mix, seasonality and manufacturing capacity are incorporated into planning.
• Improving visibility around longer‑term demand and potential supply constraints.
• Reviewing current systems and recommending additional planning tools or software where appropriate.
• Establishing clear processes, governance and ways of working that can be owned by the existing team following completion of the project.
• Supporting the business in transitioning from a reactive planning environment to a more structured and proactive approach.

Profile

• Significant experience within Demand Planning and S&OP.
• A track record of building or transforming S&OP processes, rather than solely operating within established frameworks.
• Strong experience working across Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain and Operations.
• Experience improving forecasting processes and challenging commercial assumptions constructively.
• The ability to create effective S&OP dashboards, reporting and management information.
• Experience working within a product‑led, manufacturing or outsourced manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to businesses managing seasonality, complex product mixes and capacity constraints would be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience within branded sportswear, apparel, consumer products or a similar environment would be particularly relevant.
• A pragmatic, hands‑on approach with the ability to operate effectively within a growing and evolving business.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to establish sustainable processes that can be handed over to an internal team.
