Are you an experienced Rent Accountant with a background in Housing or Local Government? Can you confidently manage tenancy accounts and payment allocations in a remote environment? Are you ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, change-heavy interim role?

My client, a growing organisation in the Social Housing sector, is looking for an Interim Rent Accountant on an initial 6-month contract. With a busy period approaching due to a significant property rollout and an upcoming system implementation, this role plays a critical part in keeping tenancy accounts accurate, up to date, and well-managed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up new tenancy accounts and ensuring rent charges are correctly applied
  • Managing ongoing tenancy accounts, ensuring balances are accurate
  • Allocating tenant payments and resolving discrepancies
  • Responding to tenant and internal queries relating to rental accounts
  • Supporting the wider team in preparation for a new housing management system rollout

The team works primarily remotely, with fortnightly in-person team days to collaborate and connect.
