Hays Specialist Recruitment in Bath is seeking an Interim Purchase & Sales Ledger Assistant to join the finance team on a temporary basis. The role offers variety, exposure to both sides of the ledger, and a supportive environment.

You will process invoices, manage reconciliations, chase payments and assist with month-end tasks while building relationships with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Accounts Assistant roles.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Confident communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Familiar with finance systems and Excel.
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise.
• Available to start at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and maintain the Purchase Ledger.
• Raise customer invoices and support the Sales Ledger.
• Manage supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Chase outstanding payments and resolve account queries.
• Assist with payment runs and cash allocation.
• Support month-end activities and finance administration.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing
