Job summary

NACBA is seeking an experienced Interim Project Accountant to join a fast‑paced finance function on a remediation and stabilisation assignment. The role focuses on financial statements, reconciliations and intercompany work across a multi‑entity environment.

The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE, strong technical accounting skills, excellent Excel abilities and a proactive, hands‑on approach to work at pace. Immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be QBE with equivalent experience
• Strong technical accounting fundamentals and double-entry
• Experience across reconciliations, financial accounting and month-end processes
• Experience working across multiple entities
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
• Remediation/clean-up/transformation or restructuring experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve issues independently
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Experience producing audit-ready work and dealing with auditors
• Proactive, hands-on approach and able to work at pace
• IFRS 15 / percentage-of-completion accounting experience advantageous
• ERP experience (NetSuite) beneficial

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile financial statements across multiple entities
• Support statutory and year-end reporting and work with auditors
• Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigate historic unreconciled balances and discrepancies
• Rebuild and maintain cashbook and bank reconciliation processes
• Identify and resolve issues across the wider ledger
• Perform intercompany reconciliations in a multi-entity environment
• Investigate intercompany mismatches and align balances
• Support development and implementation of improved finance processes and controls
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects
• Produce audit-ready documentation and handover-ready processes
• Collaborate with wider finance team and provide guidance
