Job description

2 x Interim Procurement programme managers with a strong background in capital project procurement from pre-feasibility to execution, required to join an established and experienced purchasing team.

This is a role working with remote, global stakehoders and requires candidates with excellent communication skills and a demonstrable ability to manage procurement projects and all contributors to strict timelines whilst maintaining exceptional collaboration.

You will:

1. Support development of the Procurement and Contracting schedules within the overall Project schedules.
2. Coordinate with the project teams and site-based procurement and contracting teams to ensure the procurement scopes within each project are delivered in accordance with schedules and in compliance with governance requirements.
3. Work in conjunction with the site-based procurement and contracting teams to resolve issues in the procurement cycle, including invoicing and payment related queries.
4. Participate in weekly project procurement and contracting meetings, producing progress reports, preparing and/or supporting preparation for presentation slides for governance/steering meetings.
5. Where required support the expediting and logistics efforts to ensure goods/materials/equipment arrive on-site in a timely manner.

You must present a solid background in capital project procurement from pre-feasibility through to execution phases, preferably from the heavy processing industries such as mining or oil & gas and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and be practiced in producing accurate reports and presenting to a wide range of stakeholders

Ideally you will be happy to work 5 days per week on-site, however there may be the opportunity for hybrid working.

This is a great oportunity to work with a diverse and global business, who are strongly focused on sustainability. You will be mentored by an experienced procurement professional and there could be the opportunity to travel globally. Inital contract is for 6 months but the expectation is that this will be 12 months +.
