Halliday Marx have partnered with a Top50 practice who are looking to hire a Tax Senior / Assistant Manager on an Interim basis for 6 months.

Duties

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
  • Manage all aspects of personal tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Provide bespoke tax planning and advisory services, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and residency and domicile issues.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and contribute to the growth of the practice through networking and developing new client relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tax legislation and HMRC guidelines, ensuring clients receive informed advice and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a top 50 accountancy firm or similar environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and experience with complex tax issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner.
  • Client-focused, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proactive and commercial mindset, with a track record of identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities.
