Your new company

A small not-for-profit organization based in Edinburgh is seeking a part-time Interim Finance Manager. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this key role involves leading the finance team and supporting all financial activities. The responsibilities include:

  1. Preparation and maintenance of finance processes and controls.
  2. Leading year-end preparations and the production of financial statements.
  3. Serving as the main point of contact for annual audit queries.
  4. Deputising for the Head of Finance as required and managing the operational finance team daily.
  5. Providing ad hoc assistance on special projects as requested by the Head of Finance and the senior leadership team.
  6. Developing procedures and embedding continuous improvement within the finance team using initiative.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience who can manage and lead a small operational finance team. Experience in implementing and managing controls, leading external audits, and proficiency in Excel are essential. Payroll experience would be advantageous.
