Job summary

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experienced with journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and month-end accounting.
• Strong Excel and finance systems skills; able to learn new systems quickly.
• Supervisory or line-management experience desirable.
• Housing, social housing, or not-for-profit experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journals, including rent and service charge transactions.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close processes and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with the production of management accounts and financial reports.
• Raise sales invoices and support income accounting activities.
• Process weekly payment runs and support Accounts Payable.
• Produce financial reports, system downloads, and data analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile rent and service charge accounts.
• Support year-end audit and financial reporting requirements.
• Monitor and investigate financial variances and discrepancies.
• Work with large volumes of financial data across multiple finance systems.
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting.
• Provide guidance to junior staff.
• Build strong relationships and act as a finance contact.

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

• Strong Excel and finance systems skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Previous supervisory or line management experience desirable.
• Hands-on, adaptable, and willing to support across all areas of finance.
• Ambitious individual seeking progression into a more senior accounting role.
