Interim Management Accountant (6 months fixed term contract)

Location: Head Office, Cheapside
Pay details: Competitive
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday

Job Description

As an Interim Management Accountant, you will:

  • Support the rest of the Finance team in maintaining the Trust's financial records, ensuring accuracy of financial information, and redesigning and embedding reporting formats and schedules.
  • Support with reporting and Financial Management.
  • Support the Finance Officer in ensuring completion of monthly petty cash procedures by bookkeepers and home support administrators, upload petty cash data to the finance system, and review accuracy of reconciliations, including checking closing balances to the finance system.
  • Support in processing payment runs in line with policy, including reviewing invoices posted by Accounts Payable, ensuring details are correct, running internal control checks, and approving payments.
  • Assist in the embedding of the new finance system and processes, including designing and implementing process efficiencies, and training staff on these where relevant.
  • Support the design and implementation of system integrations.
  • Assist with internal and year end audit processes, including data collection and liaising with bookkeepers/home support administrators and auditors as required.
  • Support the home's bookkeepers and home support administrators with queries.
Minimum Requirements

To apply, you will need:

  • Fully qualified (plus some experience) ACA or ACCA or CIMA.
  • Experience of change management, system/process design.
  • Minimum of 5 years' recent experience of working in a finance role.
  • Experience of production of management information, including financial reports and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Experience of using accounts software, with particular experience of bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and generating reports.
  • Able to take a hands-on approach, stepping in and supporting wherever needed to ensure the success of the team.
  • Xledger experience is desirable.
