Job: Interim Management Accountant
Location: St Albans
Day rate: c£350
Length of contract: 3 months
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team for 3 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting in strategic planning and decision-making. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide financial analysis and support for business decision-making, including cost-benefit analysis, investment appraisals, and pricing strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and facilitating the year-end audit process.
- Manage and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications or equivalent.
- Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting within a commercial environment.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
