Job description

Axon Moore is pleased to partner with a growing business in Burnley as they look to recruit an experienced management accountant for an initial 6-month period to cover sickness.

Working in a small team, you will handle the end-to-end monthly process and support the wider business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly management accounts according to schedule.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable & receivable.
• Experience with confidential invoice discounting (CID) would be beneficial.
• Handle National Statistics submissions.
• Liaise with internal auditors to ensure access to required information throughout the audit process.
• Collaborate with the FC on ad-hoc projects, driving improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.

Applicants should be qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with a strong background in management accounting and the ability to start within 4 weeks.
