Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is recruiting an experienced M&E Compliance / Contracts Manager for a Social Housing organisation in London. You will manage M&E programmes, compliance contracts and projects with a focus on lift and electrical compliance, ensuring delivery to programme timetables and statutory requirements.

This interim role offers a daily rate up to £400, a chance to impact building safety, supervise contractors, audits, and coordinating with residents and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing M&E compliance contracts, especially lifts and electrical.
• Strong contract, programme and project management experience.
• Background in social housing, housing associations, local authorities or public sector.
• Knowledge of building services, statutory compliance and property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E works programmes and projects from conception to completion.
• Contract manage lift and electrical compliance contractors.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory M&E compliance across the housing portfolio.
• Audit contractor performance, certification and testing records.
• Carry out pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality and specification compliance.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
• Manage contractors, consultants and supply-chain partners.
• Monitor budgets, expenditure and project delivery.
• Provide technical advice on M&E, building services, engineering and maintenance.
• Manage resident and stakeholder relationships, including complaints and project meetings.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and Section 20 consultation requirements where applicable.
