Overview

We are supporting a global offshore wind joint venture who are looking to appoint a mid-senior level lawyer to drive the negotiation and execution of main package contracts for their projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team and a company with the ambition to drive the deployment of offshore wind internationally.

You will be embedded in the project delivery team and work closely with procurement, engineering, and external stakeholders to secure contracts for key infrastructure components. The role will be central to enabling successful final investment decisions (FIDs) and long-term project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to a Legal Manager, you will lead negotiations and drafting of main package contracts, including:
  • Wind Turbine Supply Agreements (WTG)
  • Foundation & Cable Supply and Installation
  • Offshore & Onshore Substations
  • Transportation & Installation (T&I) Contracts
  • O&M and LTSA Agreements
  • Advise on contract strategy, risk allocation, and interfaces between packages.
  • Ensure contractual frameworks comply with internal governance, insurance, ESG, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage and manage external counsel to support complex or multi-jurisdictional negotiations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified lawyer (UK or German) with a minimum of 5+ years PQE which could have been gained either in private practice or in-house.
  • Ideally you will have worked within the offshore wind sector.
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating large-scale EPC, supply, or installation contracts, particularly in offshore wind.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to reach commercially sound outcomes.
  • Experience working in an ambitious, start-up environment would be beneficial too.

Location

  • London or Frankfurt (flexible hybrid working)
  • There is also the opportunity to work fully remotely.

Contract Type:

  • Day-rate (minimum 6 months)
