Job description

Interim Legal Counsel – Professional Services

Unique opportunity to join the Office of the General Counsel at a top-tier international law firm on a 12-month FTC basis to cover maternity leave.

Hybrid work: 3 days/week in the office, with an option for part-time, 4 days/week.

This role may suit a lawyer with experience in employment, corporate reorganisations, tax, governance, or regulatory law seeking a move away from fee earning.

As part of the firm's in-house legal team, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Working with the Partnership Affairs team, advising on firm structure, partner arrangements, and related documentation.
  2. Advising on legal risks and compliance issues.
  3. Preparing legal advice for management on operational and firm-wide matters.
  4. Responding to queries from Partners.
  5. Supporting the firm's insurance renewal process.
  6. Engaging in project-based work.
  7. Collaborating extensively with senior stakeholders across the firm, including Partners and operational leaders.

Candidates should have 4+ years PQE, trained at a reputable firm, and qualified in England & Wales. Strong technical legal skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
