Interim Legal Counsel

Full Job Description

Arbuthnot Yon is working with the UK division of a global listed business seeking to appoint an experienced commercial lawyer for a fixed-term contract of 6 to 9 months, focusing on strategic commercial contracts.

Start date: between April and June.

This role is hybrid, based at our West Midlands HQ, requiring 3 days in the office per week.

The successful candidate will be part of an established, collegiate legal team, advising on, drafting, and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, including procurement, customer-facing supply, and distribution agreements. The role also involves handling wider legal issues such as intellectual property, information technology, governance, and compliance.

We welcome applications from commercial lawyers with at least 5 years of experience in commercial contracts, as well as more senior lawyers. The role offers significant interaction with the legal team and broader business units. Building strong relationships with colleagues, including commercial teams and senior stakeholders, is essential.

We are seeking someone who can start as soon as possible, but no later than June, and are open to full-time or part-time (4 days per week) arrangements.

This position can be undertaken on a hybrid basis at our West Midlands HQ.
