Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking an experienced Interim Health & Safety Internal Auditor to join our Business Risk Services team. You’ll engage in short- to medium-term engagements, applying risk-based auditing across client environments while navigating evolving legislation and governance requirements.

The role offers inside IR35 engagement and opportunities to work across industries, travelling to client sites as needed and contributing to robust audit delivery and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety internal audit within an internal audit function.
• Experience drafting audit documentation and final internal audit reports.
• Assist with draft terms of reference and audit planning documents, and input into budgets for internal audit reviews.
• Experience using audit software and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel to client premises as required.

Skills We Are Looking For

• Health and safety internal audit experience.
• Experience of working within an internal audit function, including internal controls and general internal audit expertise.
• Experience of drafting audit documentation and final internal audit reports.
• Assist with the preparation of draft terms of reference and audit planning documents, and provide input into budgets for internal audit reviews.
• Experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages.
• Flexibility to travel to client premises when required.
• A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA or IIA) with post-qualification experience.
