The role involves operational site inspections, delivering Health and Safety support, and engaging with stakeholders. Candidates must have a NEBOSH Diploma and preferably be a Chartered member of IOSH. Qualifications

  • Experience working on nuclear sites or transferable sectors is essential.

Job description

Principal People are currently recruiting for an Interim Health and Safety Manager in partnership with a leading specialist engineering contractor working on one of their prestigious projects in Berkshire. This is a site–based role on an initial 12–month contract with likelihood of extension working on a specialist installation project in the Nuclear sector. This role is to offer a day rate of GBP(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35).

Rate: GBP(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35)

Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational site inspections, audits and observation of high risk activities
  • Delivering overall Health and Safety support to the project team.
  • Engage and build relationships with project stakeholders, client and contractors
  • Produce detailed Health and Safety reports for senior management and client.
  • Provide clear advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders of the project
  • Attend relevant project meetings
  • Reviewing of RAMS
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Diploma level qualification minimum (Essential)
  • Be a Chartered member of IOSH (Highly desirable)
  • Have worked on a nuclear site (Highly desirable) or transferable sectors (Chemicals, Oil and Gas)
  • Hold strong experience within complex, high risk construction projects
  • Hold strong engagement capabilities able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Hold current SC clearance is desirable but not essential
