Your new company
This company specialises in the ethical production and distribution of beauty cosmetics within the FMCG industry. They are a newer contender in the market, in comparison to their top competitors, but their growth rate in the past 5 years has propelled them further beyond the household names we know today. The company focuses on doing better for the planet by using extensive research and producing products with minimal impact on the environment and humanity. They are looking for someone who shares their values and thrives in a busy work environment.
As the interim Head of Supply Chain, you will oversee the end-to-end process from sourcing and procurement, through planning and inventory management, to distribution to key clients globally. You will build and maintain strong relationships with existing stakeholders and source new partnerships. An excellent understanding of relevant supply chain software is essential. Your daily responsibilities will involve problem-solving, ensuring smooth operations, and motivating the team. You will implement strategies to minimise lead times and improve supply chain functions. Accuracy, attention to detail, and punctuality are crucial to meet deadlines and targets.
You should demonstrate leadership and management skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities. Candidates need strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. A confident personality, independence, a 'can-do' attitude, and the ability to challenge conventional thinking are important. Personal integrity and accountability are essential.
