Interim Head of Procurement - 12 Month FTC - £75k-£85k + excellent benefits

We are proud to be working exclusively with our client, an organisation that provides services in the Health Sector, with their search for an Interim Head of Procurement.

The Job Role: As the Interim Head of Procurement, your key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping to shape the overall procurement function offering
  • Driving the entire procurement function to be as efficient and effective as possible
  • Overseeing the smooth running of a wide variety of procurement processes and projects
  • Educating the organisation about procurement processes and best practices
  • Management of a small team, as well as responsibility for developing others
  • Playing a pivotal role in pipeline development and execution, making a significant impact on the organisation's objectives
  • Playing a hands-on role in terms of delivery

The Person: To apply for this role, candidates should have the following skills, attributes, and experience:

  • A CIPS Qualification is essential (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply)
  • Solid, proven work experience within public sector procurement would be advantageous
  • A true specialist in the field of procurement and category working
  • Experience of leading and developing a team of staff
  • Experience of working in a multi-site environment would be beneficial
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster meaningful relationships

Location/Remote Working: A large part of this role can be conducted remotely; however, there is a requirement to travel to other sites as part of the role, around 2 days per week. Office sites are located in central Manchester, London, and Birmingham, so it may be beneficial to be located within a commutable distance to one of these sites.

Days per Week: The role is full-time (37.5 hours a week); however, slightly altered part-time working may be considered for the right candidate.
