3 days a week on-site in central Manchester

A dynamic, market-leading business is seeking a hands-on technical manager with Azure experience to lead a small team of up to eight with three direct reports. The business recently insourced its IT and is currently building out its Azure estate from scratch while also replacing the whole of its IT estate.
Their technology stack includes Azure IaaS & PaaS, Microsoft 365, Palo Alto & Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Umbrella, Mimecast, and Cisco Meraki. For this role it is essential that a leader can confidently navigate these technologies. This role will suitsomeone who thrives in a hands-on, technical leadership position while also supporting and mentoring a team to deliver excellence in both day-to-day activities and project work.
For the right candidate, this may become a permanent appointment.

Pre-requisites:

• 8 years + managing and leading experienced engineers

• Has worked in a fast-paced environment

• Infrastructure pedigree with at least 4 years delivering Azure projects

• Solid experience of implementations within medium to large scale business

• Enterprise scale networking and servers (300/400)

Bonus skills/experience can include:

• SCCM

• Cisco Meraki / umbrella

• Mimecast / OPTA

• Firewalls - Palo Alto or similar

?As the Interim Head of Infrastructure, your duties will include:

• Managing projects / reporting up

• Being ‘in the trenches’ with your team

• Building and creating structure and processes
