Renowned education and membership organisations requirean interim Head of HR and Learning to join their leadership team based in Edinburgh.
Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Resources, you will be the professional lead for human resources, learning, people and organisational development, advising senior leaders and managers on all relevant people issues.
You will also be a strategic change agent working collaboratively to support the forward planning, development and performance of the workforce. You will help create a more flexible organisation supporting the workforce and making staff engagement and wellbeing a reality.
Key and exciting aspects of this role include -

  • Building strong and collaborative relationships between management and key stakeholders
  • Understanding complex HR issues and seeking to drive continuous improvement
  • Leading and developing the team members within the HR function
  • Leading the development of the L&D function

What you'll need to succeed
To be shortlisted for this role, it is essential that you have a CIPD qualification or are qualified by experience, having worked recently in a senior management role within HR. It is essential that you have managed a team of HR professionals and have the ability to work strategically within a variety of core business areas within the HR discipline. Expertise in complex/sensitive HR issues, organisational change, senior recruitment, staff development and employee relations are all deemed essential for this post.
What you'll get in return
This position offers a competitive daily rate, and hybrid working with great flexibility. This post requires 1 or2 days to be office-based, and the remainder of the week working from home. The post holder may have to attend meetings UK-wide, and therefore some travel could be necessary, although this is very limited.
This position will be for an initial 3-month period, although it may extend for a further period of time as the role evolves.
