Interim Finance Manager

Interim Finance Manager - Edinburgh - £250 - £300 / Day

Your new company
Hays are supporting a charitable organisation based in Edinburgh who are looking to recruit an Interim Finance Manager. You will support the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources as part of the small but experienced corporate resources team.

Your new role

  • Act as an internal business partner, providing financial planning and performance support.
  • Lead month-end processes, including reviewing and posting journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, cashflow, and balance sheet reports.
  • Manage budgeting and reforecasting cycles.
  • Handle day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, gift aid, and charity VAT.
  • Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, pension providers, and payroll partners.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships for efficient invoice processing and payment resolution.
  • Administer the organisation's risk register.
  • Manage internal assurance and governance processes, including internal audit and compliance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements (data protection, health and safety, fundraising regulations).

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in finance and compliance.
  • Financial Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or working towards them.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse financial data.
