Summary Description:

The Interim Head of Content reports into the VP, Events and is responsible for maintaining the continuity and execution of content strategy across TM Forum’s events. This role will focus on delivering existing content plans, ensuring seamless execution of conference programs, and leading the content team to meet deadlines and objectives. The role will require strong organizational and stakeholder management skills to ensure ongoing content development remains aligned with TM Forum’s industry position, member engagement goals, and event strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and execute content strategies that align with TM Forum’s positioning and ensure consistency across all events.
• Work closely with operations and event management to ensure smooth delivery of conference programs to established customer standards.
• Ensure the continuity of ongoing content plans, speaker outreach, and agenda development in line with existing event goals.
• Oversee execution of all content deliverables, ensuring alignment with brand, tone of voice, and target audiences.
• Manage timelines and approvals for event programs, ensuring a seamless transition from planning to execution.
• Support ongoing event content development while ensuring minimal disruption to established strategies.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with mission leads and other teams.
• Conduct ongoing usability tests and monitor analytics to maintain content effectiveness rather than implement major strategic shifts.
• Provide interim leadership for the content production team and freelancers, ensuring continuity and supporting their work during the maternity cover period.
• Ensure the team stays aligned with event content goals, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
• Support the team in delivering existing priorities while flagging any areas requiring attention.
• Facilitate a smooth transition back to the permanent role holder by documenting key activities and progress.

Team Management:

• Provide interim leadership for the content production team and freelancers, ensuring continuity and supporting their work during the maternity cover period.
• Ensure the team stays aligned with event content goals, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
• Support the team in delivering existing priorities while flagging any areas requiring attention.
• Facilitate a smooth transition back to the permanent role holder by documenting key activities and progress.

Finance Management:

• Adhere to existing purchasing policies and work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment to speakers, maintaining smooth financial operations during the interim period.
• Create and manage speaker budgets per event, ensuring consistency with established financial plans.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience, with a proven track record of managing content for events in a fast-paced, high-impact setting.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience producing and executing content for events within the tech sector, with a focus on delivering content plans and budgets seamlessly.
• Prior experience leading teams, particularly in a temporary or interim capacity, ensuring continuity and smooth execution of content strategies.
• Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to an established content strategy and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and collaboratively, while managing deadlines and operational needs.
• Proactive, driven, and adaptable, with the ability to maintain momentum in an interim role.
• Ability to travel internationally, as required, to support content production at events.
