Job Title: Head of Capital Markets & Funding

Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Reporting to: CFO

Direct Reports: 3

Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee and grow their capital markets and funding operations. This role involves managing funding partnerships, executing new funding arrangements, supporting pricing and portfolio decisions, and ensuring robust reporting. The candidate will also contribute at the Executive Committee and Board level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Funding Partner Management: Lead relationships with funding partners, chair meetings, negotiate renewals, and manage discussions.
  2. Execution of New Funding Arrangements: Oversee execution of funding facilities, support legal documentation, and develop key term summaries.
  3. Pricing & Loan Allocation: Support decision-making on loan allocation and optimize trade-offs between yield, return, and volume.
  4. Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee reporting tools, improve internal and external reports, and develop team capabilities.
  5. Funder Marketing & Relationship Development: Support business development and represent the company in funding discussions.
  6. Executive & Board Engagement: Participate in Executive Committee and Board meetings, providing updates and insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in capital markets, structured finance, or related fields.
  • Understanding of legal documentation and negotiations.
