Job summary

Axon Moore is assisting a high-growth organisation in the Leeds area to appoint an Interim Group Financial Controller. You will report to the CFO and strengthen the finance function through significant change, with responsibility for group reporting, controls, and system integrations.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong finance leader, ACA qualified with a practice background, and capable of partnering with the CFO to lead teams through change while delivering business-as-usual

Qualifications

• ACA (or equivalent) qualified with practice background.
• Experience leading group finance functions in fast-growth organisations.
• Strong financial controls and technical accounting expertise.
• Evidence of delivering timely group reporting and system implementations.

Interim Group Financial Controller Leeds area 500 - 600 per day DOE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join a high-growth organisation in the Leeds area.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a critical role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the business through a period of significant change. This is a highly visible position with responsibility for enhancing financial controls, standardising processes, improving finance systems, delivering accurate and timely group reporting, and supporting the integration of newly acquired business units.

Duties will include:

• Leading the Group Finance function, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of all financial reporting.
• Designing the future group structure
• Supporting a system implementation
• Supporting acquisition integration
• Developing consistent financial controls
• Group reporting
• Technical accounting
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes across the Group.

We are looking for a technically strong finance leader, (likely ACA ACA qualified with a practice background), who has since built a successful career in senior finance roles within fast-paced, growing organisations. You will be a confident and engaging leader, capable of partnering closely with the CFO, leading teams through change, and ensuring both business-as-usual activities and ad-hoc projects are delivered to a high standard.
