Page Executive is seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller for a 6-month contract in the UK. You will oversee financial operations, reporting to Group CFO, manage a large team, and ensure accounting processes support informed business decisions.

Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, compliance, budgeting, cash flow, and audits; develop a high-performing team of ~50; drive risk management and financial strategy; UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large accounting and finance operations within a big business.
• Proficient in UK accounting standards and IFRS.
• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA and proven leadership.

Job description

As a Interim Group Financial Controller (6months contract), you'll manage the financial operations and reporting to ensure everything runs smoothly. This role is reporting to the Group CFO, and is managing a large team through direct reports to ensure accounting processes and helping the business make informed financial decisions

Description

• Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to stakeholders.

• Implement and maintain strong financial controls and risk management processes.
• Collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategy and decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial audits and statutory reporting.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

Profile

A successful Group Financial Controller should have:

• Strong experience in accounting and finance within a larger business, running a larger technical finance team.
• UK based, Current UK accounting standards and IFRS essential.
• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
