Job summary

Hamilton Woods Group seeks an experienced Interim FP&A Manager to join its Coventry finance team on a 3-6 month contract. The role is hybrid and offers a day rate of £400-£500, focused on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver robust financial reporting, insightful variance analysis and strategic business planning. A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable, with strong Excel and finance systems experience essential.

Qualifications

• Proven FP&A experience in interim or contract roles.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills.
• Qualification in ACA/ACCA/CIMA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Produce monthly management reporting, variance analysis and financial performance commentary.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insight and challenge financial assumptions.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans.
• Present financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, financial controls and forecasting accuracy.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as required.

Interim FP&A Manager

Location: Coventry (Hybrid Working)
Day Rate: £400-£500 per day
Contract: Interim, 3-6 Months

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Manager to join a growing finance function in Coventry on an initial 3-6 month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis, providing valuable insight to senior stakeholders and supporting strategic business decisions.

Working closely with the wider finance team and senior leadership, you will take ownership of key FP&A activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust forecasting and clear visibility of business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

About You

• Proven experience in an FP&A Manager, Senior FP&A Analyst or similar interim finance role.

• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis.

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate findings clearly.

• Confident partnering with senior stakeholders and challenging assumptions where appropriate.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting systems.

• Able to work independently, quickly establish credibility and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is desirable.
